Special Interest Groups
Special interest groups (SIGs) are specific forums that offer their members the opportunity to share ideas or networks on the discussion forum, exchange views and share best practices with their peers, and develop policy positions and scientific paperwork. Joining a SIG helps members to: make valuable connections, gain insight into topical, important and difficult problems in specialist fields, further grow their expertise and apply their additional knowledge and new connections to promote progress in the performance of the SIG and society as a whole.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will be created at the request of a minimum of 5 members. SIG promoters will submit a written application to the MENAAA Board and may first contact the Board to discuss and clarify matters. This application shall include information on the name and precise aims of the group, the relevance of these aims for the MENAAA purposes, the expected method of work, the first expected outcome, the initial chairpersons and the professional background and experience of its initial and future members, communication between members, meeting planning and funding sources.
